Who We Are
We are the Kears!
Josh and Carly have been married for 7 years and together for 10, having met in October of 2003. They’ve traveled to over 25 countries together, and love exploring the world. When people told them that their lives would be over with the birth of their daughter, and that they would never travel again, they smiled politely, and knew that wasn’t their reality. Luna, who will turn 5 on the big trip, has been to 13 countries and loves to travel!
Josh is a successful, four-time Grammy-winning songwriter based in Nashville, TN. He loves Red Sox baseball, winning fantasy sports, great movies and hanging with friends and family. Josh is a big thinker who is assisted in dreaming big by good beer and kale.
Carly has spent the last 4 years gallivanting with Luna, as well as managing real estate and planning far flung adventures. She has been known to blow glass, play the cello badly and bake bread. She’s had a love affair with champagne the past few years and loves to walk and garden. She’s a graduate student at the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University, and will be doing an independent study course during the trip observing various conflict management styles throughout the world.
Luna is a 4 year old who loves anything imaginative. Her ideal day is playing with friends at her Waldorf school, dressing up and singing. You can find her in the garden, playing with fairies in the stream, or putting on a play. Luna loves chocolate and art, assisting with anything helpful and making messes.
what an incredible travelling experience. what is the next route? 🙂
